May journal “unboxing”

This is the “unboxing” of the April mailer with the May journal, “Precious in My eyes”!

He loves us. We don’t have to wonder, “He loves me, he loves me not.” The answer is and always will be, “He loves me.” Even though others will try to love us unconditionally, we’re all fallible humans and eventually, something will happen when they can’t love us in the full way we expect and need.

But God can.

And He is constantly showing his love to us. Before we were born, he made it possible for us to be by his side forever. And as we walk through life, he wants us to know that each day and with every breath, he is beside us, walking with us through whatever comes. He came from heaven to earth for us. He gave himself in our place. He made sure that we would have no reason to doubt his love for us.

And so we read the words written by God to his people centuries ago - before He died, before we lived... but fulfilled in his death, in his resurrection, and in our daily lives as followers of Christ, all of these years later. So let’s read and see how precious we are in God’s eyes...

This is what our everseeking subscribers are studying in May 2025! So let’s take a closer look at everything in the study and the mailer…

The journal

Precious. Loved. Treasured.

It’s what we long for. But there are times when we aren’t sure if anyone out there wants us. Sometimes it comes on suddenly and sometimes it’s a constant doubt. But we wonder, are we loved?

Yes. We are.

There is One who loves us more than any mortal ever could. There is One who treasures us in his heart at all times. There is One who couldn’t bear the thought of being separated from us for all eternity, not because of what he had done, but because of what we had done.

Even when we didn’t want him, he wanted us. And at our worst, God made a plan to bring us back.

So he died for us.

And now, nothing can come between us. He conquered every barrier. Even the ones we put up. Because even when we still doubt, he makes sure we know that that he will never stop loving us and never stop treasuring us.

To God, we will always be precious in his eyes. And this is how we know...

Isaiah 43 is beautifully written, not just to share important knowledge, but to share the depths of who we are and how that changes the way we live every day. And we won’t even be able to study the whole chapter! We’ll be going through verses 1-7 a little at a time.

The “Isaiah 43 context notes” is for your thoughts on the phrase individually and within its context of what you just read (or will read next).

Then we look at two other passages that are similar to or expounding on what we have read.

And then we have the notes to think through it together!

Studying through this takes us through the main 20 days of study. As in every everseeking journal, the “main study” can be done in 20 days because we all have those moments where we get behind, so this gives a little room.

But if you’re studying every day and get to day 20 and you still have 10 more days in the month, there are 10 extra pages of the journal (called “optional pages”) that take a deeper look at what we already studied.

So whether you complete the main study with the 20 pages or the main 20 + the optional 10, you have succeeded in spending the month studying the Word of God!

The washi tape

As always, every everseeking journal comes with it’s set of washi tape: solid and patterned!

This month’s washi tape is a soft yellow pattern and a similar solid color washi tape! We use these for highlighting certain thoughts, creating tabs throughout the journal, decorating, adding extra notes (scrapbooking style), color coding, and more! For more details, check out our “How to use washi tape for Bible journaling” blog at https://www.evergreencypress.com/blog/how-to-use-washi-tape-for-bible-journaling.

Floral/journaling tin with golden heart paper clips

The next “extra” is a small floral journaling tin.

The journaling tin is perfect for a number of uses. It can be used for for storage, for medication, and for a number of other things.

But we loved matching it with our other extra — a set of small golden golden heart shaped paperclips! It’s perfect for journaling, remembering where our spot is or where we studied something that we want to remember… or add in a note that goes with our study!

For passport for 2025 - May sticker

And for those who joined our Everseeking Resolution for 2025 (those subscribed by December 1, 2024), we added the matching sticker that goes inside our 2025 everseeking passport (that was sent earlier)! We look forward to hearing your favorite verse, a takeaway and notes.

It’s our encouragement to stay strong in being everseeking of God in 2025 — our everseeking resolution!

Homeschool edition

We also have everseeking for homeschool!

The homeschool edition sends out the same journal of the month for the girl to study through. With the 20 days of the main study, she gets to also go through one page a day for each weekday for the 4 weeks of the month.

The difference with the homeschool edition is that instead of the extras, the girl receives three pages…

  1. Pacing guide: this takes the 20 days and schedules them in the specific month of study (in this case, May 2025). Here, she can check off each day as she completes it.

  2. Discussion questions: after the girl has completed her study page for the day, there is an extra discussion question that matches (for example, discussion question number 4 goes with day 04 of the study). This is intended to help the girl explain what she has studied and for the teacher and girl to further discuss what the study of God’s Word means in her life.

  3. Knowing Scripture/ end-of-month / encouragement: every month, the knowing Scripture section remains the same, but reminds the girl to keep a part of the study deep on her heart. She selects her theme verse for the study and writes it on the pacing guide to look at daily and then talk about it with the teacher throughout the month. The end of month section has an activity or assignment that helps the girl think through the study as a whole from a specific perspective as a review. And finally, the encouragement is for the teacher, to bolster her as she guides the girl in her care in God’s Word — making an eternal difference in her life!
