April journal “unboxing”
This is the “unboxing” of the March mailer with the April journal, “As warriors of God”!
Whether we’ve chosen to follow Christ or not, there is ongoing warfare for our souls.
The devil doesn’t want us anywhere near the King who fights for and protects us. So every day, the devil hits us with different things, big and small, so we would turn our back on God and kneel to Satan in defeat.
But if we have chosen to follow Christ, we do not fight alone.
The Commander of armies guides us through the battles of life, reminding us what we’re fighting for. He brings our focus to him in the midst of the fighting, training us to choose to look to him in all circumstances. He gives us the power of discernment through His Word and we can train by constant practice to distinguish good from evil (Hebrews 5:14) which makes us sharp and weathered warriors.
We fight the good fight – for God, with God, and thanks to God, victoriously. So let’s see how we can better fight as His warriors...
This is what our everseeking subscribers are studying in April 2026! So let’s take a closer look at everything in the study and the mailer…
The journal
It’s war.
We don’t see it, but it’s waging around us heavily. Sometimes as Christians, we wrestle and we are so confused at what’s going on. And other times it’s clear as day that the spiritual warfare is real.
We are on the battlefield of life. The devil wants us to live in denial and ignorance, but God gives us the eyes to see. It’s a matter of life and death. And the only one who not only can explain it but tell us how to fight is God in His Word.
And he gives us indestructible armor. He doesn’t force it on us. We have to take it up (Ephesians 6:11, 13).
But God knows everything about this war, even things the devil doesn’t understand. God has been fighting the battles against evil alongside his people since the beginning. He sent his Son as the ultimate blow to evil.
And God is still fighting alongside us today.
It’s not an option. The war is real. But are we going to choose to stay abandoned on the battlefield or are we going to fight?
Let’s sharpen our resolve and see how we are warriors in God.
There is a very present war going on all around us. We may not be able to see it, but it is being waged every day against our souls (1 Peter 2:11). And we don’t want to be ignorant of it. God has given us what we need to fight: his armor. And he even outlines it like what a soldier would wear! So the left pages go though what God tells us we need to fight - making notes on the verse, connecting with other parts of the Bible, and thinking through that armor piece.
The right pages talk through each a little bit deeper and then match with a story in the Bible on the side, showing us how we can use this to fight with God’s armor in our lives today.
Each piece is important. So we think through it, and then we make sure we are armored up!
Studying through this takes us through the main 20 days of study. As in every everseeking journal, the “main study” can be done in 20 days because we all have those moments where we get behind, so this gives a little room.
But if you’re studying every day and get to day 20 and you still have 10 more days in the month, there are 10 extra pages of the journal (called “optional pages”) that take a deeper look at what we already studied.
In this journal… We need all of the advice we can get to wage the war we cannot see, the spiritual war of good and evil. God tells us more about this war, what it means in our lives here on earth and for our eternal destiny. Makes note about what we’re told and write out a battleplan, thinking it through yourself and then talking with God about it.
So whether you complete the main study with the 20 pages or the main 20 + the optional 10, you have succeeded in spending the month studying the Word of God!
The washi tape
As always, every everseeking journal comes with it’s set of washi tape: solid and patterned!
This month’s washi tape matches the blue theme this month and a similar solid color washi tape! We use these for highlighting certain thoughts, creating tabs throughout the journal, decorating, adding extra notes (scrapbooking style), color coding, and more! For more details, check out our “How to use washi tape for Bible journaling” blog at https://www.evergreencypress.com/blog/how-to-use-washi-tape-for-bible-journaling.
Custom designed “stand firm” magnet
We loved designing this magnet specifically for our study. We know that it can be hard to stand firm, especially if we feel the constant push and pull from the world. But we also know that God has given us everything we need to stand firm in Him. This magnet is meant to be placed somewhere where it can be a constant encouragement that in God’s might and in His armor, we can stand firm!
BONUS: personalized handlettered keychain
In addition to our main extra, this month we added a special bonus surprise for our everseekers: a personalized handlettered keychain! It was fun getting to handletter each subscribers’ name and we pray it helps each one know that she is loved by the Creator of the Universe and that no matter where she goes, He is with her so she can stand firm in Him.
Homeschool edition
We also have everseeking for homeschool!
The homeschool edition sends out the same journal of the month for the girl to study through. With the 20 days of the main study, she gets to also go through one page a day for each weekday for the 4 weeks of the month.
The difference with the homeschool edition is that instead of the extras, the girl receives three pages…
Pacing guide: this takes the 20 days and schedules them in the specific month of study (in this case, April 2026). Here, she can check off each day as she completes it.
Discussion questions: after the girl has completed her study page for the day, there is an extra discussion question that matches (for example, discussion question number 4 goes with day 04 of the study). This is intended to help the girl explain what she has studied and for the teacher and girl to further discuss what the study of God’s Word means in her life.
Knowing Scripture/ end-of-month / encouragement: every month, the knowing Scripture section remains the same, but reminds the girl to keep a part of the study deep on her heart. She selects her theme verse for the study and writes it on the pacing guide to look at daily and then talk about it with the teacher throughout the month. The end of month section has an activity or assignment that helps the girl think through the study as a whole from a specific perspective as a review. And finally, the encouragement is for the teacher, to bolster her as she guides the girl in her care in God’s Word — making an eternal difference in her life!
