July journal “unboxing”

This is the “unboxing” of the June mailer with the July journal, “We belong to the day”!

There’s a peace that comes when we realize our lives have a purpose as we walk here on earth and a hope as we await the day when we can be with God. Whether it’s in the details in our day-to-day or in the big picture as we look at our future, we can hold to something much greater and more glorious than anything here on earth.

And awaiting the day that we can be reunited with our true love again makes us a radiant Bride of Christ here on earth.

It changes the way we think, the way we speak, and the actions that we take. Sometimes we don’t even have to say a word for people to realize that we are living differently and that there is an eternal reason for it. And what better way to share the love of Christ than for the simple reason that we are obviously so in love with him.

Our God gives us this life full of good things and hope until we can be with him forever. So let’s belong to the day...

This is what our everseeking subscribers are studying in July 2026! So let’s take a closer look at everything in the study and the mailer…

The journal

The darkness is behind us.

Sadly, for each of us, we have known the darkness of sin. We know what it was like to dwell in it and be separated from God, sometimes in ignorance and sometimes in anguish.

But that is no longer a part of us.

Because of the power of Christ’s sacrifice, for those of us who are in him, that’s a history that never has to be repeated again and our future is secured in the most incredible way.

We’re headed Home.

Example of the main study pages in “We belong to the day”

And now we know the peace of God, the encouragement he gives us, and the joy of simply being with him. We can’t wait until the day when we see him face-to-face and can fall at his feet.

But until that day, every day in between is so important.

Because there are so many still lost in that darkness.

So we are ambassadors for Christ. Our actions show others who our loving Savior is - and that He can be theirs, too. In Christ, we share respect and peace, encouragement and patience, goodness and joy. We shine the light of God around us that conquers the darkness.

We are the light of the world because He is the light of the world. (Matthew 5:14, John 8:12)

And we encourage each other in the Family of God with that light to remind ourselves of where we belong.

We belong to the day.

Journaling through a main study page in “We belong to the day”

When we get to the end of 1 Thessalonians, we get to see two main themes: living as the day (or the light of God) and waiting for the day (when Jesus comes back). As we study chapters 4 and 5 of 1 Thessalonians one after the other, we’ll first see how to live in the light, then about waiting for the day, and then back to how to live in the light! We don’t have one without the other: we get to live as the day because of the hope of the coming day. And we get to await that coming day by living as the day!

Living as the day: this is what it looks like for us to live as Christians, to live in what is good, right, and true in all parts of our lives – what is seen by others and what might only be seen by God – as He lovingly guides us to stay in the light.

Waiting for the day: and this is what it looks like to wait with hope, knowing that there is a day coming when God will call us home with others in Him. It gives us a purpose to our lives and a destination to our journey as we live in the light.

For each section, write out the verse, then circle, highlight, underline, etc as directed to focus on important parts. Then enjoy seeing the connection with another verse!

Example of the optional study pages in “We belong to the day”

Studying through this takes us through the main 20 days of study. As in every everseeking journal, the “main study” can be done in 20 days because we all have those moments where we get behind, so this gives a little room.

But if you’re studying every day and get to day 20 and you still have 10 more days in the month, there are 10 extra pages of the journal (called “optional pages”) that take a deeper look at what we already studied.

In this journal… We wrap up this study by looking at the context! Both the end of 1 Thessalonians 3 and the end of chapter 5 helps us look deeper into this passage and give more encouragement!

So whether you complete the main study with the 20 pages or the main 20 + the optional 10, you have succeeded in spending the month studying the Word of God!

The washi tape

As always, every everseeking journal comes with it’s set of washi tape: solid and patterned!

This month’s washi tape matches the floral garden theme this month and a similar solid color washi tape! We use these for highlighting certain thoughts, creating tabs throughout the journal, decorating, adding extra notes (scrapbooking style), color coding, and more! For more details, check out our “How to use washi tape for Bible journaling” blog at https://www.evergreencypress.com/blog/how-to-use-washi-tape-for-bible-journaling.

Two pastel Bible highlighters

Extras with the July journal

As we go through studying 1 Thessalonians 4 + 5 in this journal, there are areas we literally want to highlight as we write out Scripture - so we had to include highlighters in this mailer!

And with two colors and two sections (living as the day and waiting for the day), it made it simple to keep up with the two themes!

A leather Bible verse bookmark

Extras with the July journal

Along with the washi tape and highlighters, we also added a leather Bible verse bookmark!

This way, we can keep our spot in our Bibles marked to the 1 Thessalonians passage we’re studying - plus we can draw encouragement from the Bible verse on it as a reminder in bold gold foil!

Homeschool edition

We also have everseeking for homeschool!

The homeschool edition sends out the same journal of the month for the girl to study through. With the 20 days of the main study, she gets to also go through one page a day for each weekday for the 4 weeks of the month.

The difference with the homeschool edition is that instead of the extras, the girl receives three pages…

  1. Pacing guide: this takes the 20 days and schedules them in the specific month of study (in this case, July 2026). Here, she can check off each day as she completes it.

  2. Discussion questions: after the girl has completed her study page for the day, there is an extra discussion question that matches (for example, discussion question number 4 goes with day 04 of the study). This is intended to help the girl explain what she has studied and for the teacher and girl to further discuss what the study of God’s Word means in her life.

  3. Knowing Scripture/ end-of-month / encouragement: every month, the knowing Scripture section remains the same, but reminds the girl to keep a part of the study deep on her heart. She selects her theme verse for the study and writes it on the pacing guide to look at daily and then talk about it with the teacher throughout the month. The end of month section has an activity or assignment that helps the girl think through the study as a whole from a specific perspective as a review. And finally, the encouragement is for the teacher, to bolster her as she guides the girl in her care in God’s Word — making an eternal difference in her life!

And that’s a wrap!
